Let’s face it: For most women in America, the thinner they are, the better they feel about themselves. Between constantly seeing new-generation sex symbols as stick-thin women and having only a handful of popular ‘overweight’ celebrities showcased in movies and television shows, it’s no wonder that women of today have a complex that leaves them feeling frumpy when fat.

But we have good news for women carrying a few extra pounds: Men don’t only mind when you’re carrying a little junk in the trunk– They prefer it!

In a scientific study conducted by Men’s Health Magazine (and we’re using the term ‘scientific‘ loosely here), a group of 80 men were shown three photos of women wearing the same outfits with both the same hairstyles and makeup– One of a women considered underweight by the Body Mass Index, one considered to be in the healthy BMI weight range, and one considered overweight. Of the 80 men, less than 5% of them choose the underweight woman as the most attractive. 42% of them chose the woman of healthy weight, but a surprising 53% of men said that the woman above the healthy BMI range was the sexiest.

Instead of covering your curves, start to flaunt them! Here are three reasons our Sexperts think you should get the most bang for your belly:

  1. You’ll be a more desired wife
Since the dawn of time men have been subconsciously choosing wives based on the size of their hips– and the bigger is the better! Bigger hips and thighs are linked to fertility and overall health, which evolution has proved to be a big attraction factor for men seeking a life-long mate. Continue reading

You Have A Better Chance Of Finding Sex After Valentine’s Day Then Before, New Study Shows

valentines day sex is the best sex tshirt p235173730551946465yjqi 400 You Have A Better Chance Of Finding Sex After Valentines Day Then Before, New Study Shows

We know that most single people were scrambling to find action before February 14th, but a new study shows that the smart people weren’t in a rush: People are more likely to find sex in the two weeks following Valentine’s Day than they are to find it on the days leading up to the holiday.

According to Pace University in New York City, nearly twice as many people in North America find new sexual partners between February 14th and 28th than one4s who do between February 1st and 14th.

“There’s an urgency for those looking for love before Valentine’s Day because of the emotional effects that come along with being alone. People who genuinely want to be in a relationship often feel overwhelmed at the thought of being alone on Valentine’s Day for fear that seeing others happy will amplify their sadness,” says Pace professor Karl MacIver. “But that’s not the case for those simply looking to have sex. People who are looking for a strictly physical relationship have a better chance of finding it post-February 14th. The emotional stigma that comes along with the time of year has worn off by this point, and many people who were looking for relationships begin to settle for the idea of sex.” Continue reading

Are You Wrapping It Up Properly? New Study Shows Most People Use Condoms Wrong

safe sex ads 1556 1247039946 22 Are You Wrapping It Up Properly? New Study Shows Most People Use Condoms Wrong

There’s good news in the world of STD prevention: The number of condoms sold in the United States rose by 25% in 2011. So either one lucky guy who practices safe sex is having a lot more of it, or more men are smartening up about their sexual health.

Unfortunately, many of those men (maybe even you) are making crucial mistakes when it comes to condom use. Strapping it on and giving ‘er a go doesn’t fit the bill anymore– You need to make sure you’re doing it right!

These are the top 5 condom mistakes guys make without even knowing it, and what you can do to make them right:

  1. You’re not leaving space at the tip
Sure it looks a little odd having extra latex space between your weenier and the end of the condom, but that small bit of space is going to be what keeps the condom working. That space is crucial for the seamen to have a place to go. Your little fellas swim so fast out of your body that if you don’t leave enough space (at least quarter of an inch), they’re likely to break the condom. 24.3% of unplanned pregnancies caused while wearing a condom were reported to have been caused because of this issue.

Facebook Vs. Sex: Why Women Prefer The Social Network Over Intercourse

8080378366 3f2bf42835 Facebook Vs. Sex: Why Women Prefer The Social Network Over Intercourse
When it comes to sex and the Internet, there’s no doubt that most men would choose the former to keep in their lives. But in a surprising new study from Cosmopolitan’s latest ‘Sex and Social Media Study,’ the found that an almost unbelievable 57% of women say they’d rather give up their sex lives than their Facebook accounts.

In the study, which surveyed 1020 of their readers about their involvement in social media in comparison to their sex lives, it was revealed that over half of women ranging from their early 20s to their late 30s are allowing their relationships to flounder because of their profile addictions.

Why the difference between men and women? Dr. Sanka Doblev of Texas A&M says that, unlike men, women would rather feel a sense of community than be sexually satisfied, which has created a stronger urge for women to stay plugged into their social accounts at all times.

“Men have a physical need to release their sexual desires, but women are mentally unaffected if they’re not sexually satisfied. They have a maternal instinct that creates the urge to feel needed, but many females don’t have that feeling fulfilled through sex. That has a lot to do with [why women are turning to the Internet]. They want to feel wanted, and seeing a Facebook notification or a Twitter response can give them that feeling better than sex can,” says Dr. Doblev.

So what can you do if you’re stuck in a Facebook rut? We know that for many people deleting your account is not an option, but allowing the Internet to derail your sex life will put you on the fast track to a dry spell. That’s why mastering the fine line between being a Facebook fiend and a sexual satisfier is crucial in the 21st century.  Continue reading

It was reported by the National Post that 62% of all North Americans between the ages of 18 and 26 sported some form of body modification last year, and most of those mods were the permanent kind: Tattoos. From Disney characters to memorial tributes, getting tattooed has become a craze that is leaving youth in western civilization marked for life. Tattoos have become so popular, in fact, that they’ve been worked into the equal employment clause in Ontario, Canada– A company can no longer weigh a potential employee’s impact on the company with the physical appearance of their ink in mind.

And, of course, with new trends comes new studies from various professional institutions to give us information we really didn’t need on the subject. But, in this case, it’s information we like!

Students in the behavioral studies program in the department of psychology at the University of North Carolina have conducted a study on the sex lives of young adults in America who have gotten a tattoo within the past 5 years, and the results were as steamy as they were surprising!

Using A Condom Is The New ‘In’ Thing

usingcondom2 Using A Condom Is The New In Thing

Over the past 10 years, the rates of adults between the ages of 18 and 29 using condoms has been rapidly decreasing. In turn, STD contractions have increased, as have unexpected pregnancies. But now that the porn industry is changing the condom game, we might see more people wrapping up in 2012!

In a survey done by Penthouse Magazine in 2009, they asked 3500 readers where they learn their sex moves from. The results weren’t surprising: 3% said from their friends, 8% said movies and television, 26% said from personal experience, and a whopping 61% said they learned their best moves from watching porn (2% had a different response). With this in mind, it’s easy to assume that the porn industry has a huge influence on our lives in the sheets.

Although we’re used to seeing raw-dog action in porn, that’s about to change.

5 More Sex Myths

safe sex myths 5 More Sex Myths

When it comes to sex, people have been getting it wrong for decades. Whether it’s thinking that the longer you last the better it is, or that all girls need 3 hours of downstairs attention before they can reach the big O, people have had a twisted perception of what is normal.

If your dating life has been distracted because of sex questions you need resolved, Sex Search is here to help you out!

Sex Myth#1: You can tell how big a man’s penis is because of their shoe size/ height/ lifestyle/ etc
Believe it or not, it’s men that believe this myth more than women! There are a lot of times where a man will meet his girlfriend’s ex and become insecure over the fact that they think they’re packing a larger gun, simply based on his physical features like his feet or his height. The fact is that there is absolutely no relation with penis size and other body parts. Since penises aren’t made of bone, they develop the same way your nose does. We all know that your nose isn’t bigger if your feet are, so why would you assume someones dick would be any different?! Despite popular belief, a man’s penis isn’t bigger or smaller depending on his size.
