Can An iPhone App Help Your Sex Life?

There are nearly a million apps available in the iTunes store for you to play on, learn from, and connect with. Apple has developed their software for the iPhone and the iPad over the last five years to help improve almost every aspect of your life. From instant traffic updates as they happen to GPS programs that bring you to restaurants based on personal taste in food.

With all this development in technology to advance your way of life, it’s not surprising that someone has developed an app that helps you improve your sex life.

The question isn’t ‘Is there an app for that?’– Chances are if you’re wondering that question, then yes, there’s already an app for that. The question is ‘Would this app really help my sex life?’

Our Sexperts have taken a look at three apps from the iTunes store that claim to improve your sex life and, not surprisingly, found that like a lot of other apps from Apple the sex apps are actually pretty useful!

So which ones were good and which one was a waste?

Dream On: Three Stars
Although this app wasn’t designed for the intention of furthering someones sex life, a few creative users took the basics of the app and got a little kinky with it. The creators purpose was to try and control the dreams of iPhone users based on what they were interested in. How does it work? You think about the theme you want for your dreams that night (funny, romantic, scary, adventurous), and you select it in the app. During the night, the app softly plays music that is associated with that theme, which triggers your subconscious to pick up on it and change your dreams accordingly. The creators found that after a few weeks of the app being on the market, more and more people started requesting music that would simulate sex dreams. Not everyone experienced what they were hoping to with the app, but for those who did have stimulated wet dreams, the found that their sex drive was increased throughout the whole day, not just while they were sleeping.

Best Sex Tips: One Star
For an app that boasts it has the best sex tips, it sure does leave a lot out. Many of the ‘tips’ that this app provides are simple moves that most people do without noticing (changing your pace really isn’t a tip, it’s more like common sense!). The tips are lackluster and the app itself is poorly designed. The graphics are pixelated, the information is sparse, and the app takes up far too much memory to be useful. You’re better off reading a Penthouse fantasy letter and getting tips from there than you are trying to learn anything from this app!

101 Sex Tips With Emily: Five Stars
We’re not exactly sure who Emily is or why she knows so much about sex, but her app is definitely something that sex enthusiasts won’t want to miss. Between the humorous demeanor of her writing to her helpful and unique tips for the bedroom, the app is filled with great ideas for anything from an intimate encounter to a wild romp in a public place. She gives you tips on moves, outfits, foreplay and intercourse that you’ve likely never heard of before, but will love once you try. And, according to the ratings of the app,  we’re not the only ones who think this! Most paid-for sex apps get a lot user rating simply because people don’t like opening their wallets, but despite this app being $2.99, it still has a four-star rating from the general public. Whether you’re looking for something new to do or you’re searching for a new skill to make your signature move, this app will help you achieve the sex life you’ve been searching for.
