About Me: I am witty, occasionally hilarious, open-minded, creative, and more or less adventurous. In the past two years in particular, I feel like I'm in a great place in my life. I love what I do and I'm passionate about it, but it doesn't define who I am. I cherish my friendships and family, and enjoy giving back to the world all that I have learned and experienced of it. My realm is the realm of the traveler, and I like crossing borders both physically and intellectually, even if over the past ten years my life has settled in DC.I enjoy adventures as long as they don't involving skydiving or hang gliding or repelling off a cliff. I am a fairly quiet person at first among groups, but I open up rather quickly to most individuals one on one. I'm told that on first impression I can sometimes seem serious, but that is not my nature, and is an inadvertent because I am in reality a very opened-minded, good listener, good-natured person, and have a sense of humor and love making people laugh. I can be quiet and subtle. My friends, who have become dispersed all over the world, say I make a wonderful friend. My family lives all over the US and in England, on the West Coast of the US.
