About Me: I have only lived in the Perth area since 1994 or so (more on that another time.) Most of my family is still in that area. I have a few degrees; Zoology, Physics (both at Guelph) and a B.Ed. with the Outdoor and Experiential Education program at Queen's. I taught for several years at a fabulous international school south of Munich, Germany. I presently work at a small high school in Smiths Falls. Yes, Lombardy is just south of Smiths Falls, but I prefer to associate it with Perth. I live in a small cedar cabin beside a small lake where I can almost dive off my deck into the water. I also love to take one of the canoes I like to rebuild and get out on it.) I am divorced (over ten years ago now, but no ...we decided to end it early before that happened, though we both wanted them) and have remained good friends with both her, her second husband and their fabulous young daughter. In fact, she recently set me up on a blind date! It didn’t work out though… I have travelled a great deal around the world, especially Europe including extensively in France, Switzerland and Belgium where I toured with a popular French-Canadian band for many years. I still play with two bands and playing and writing music is still a huge part of my life. Of the two bands I play in now, one does all original Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young sort of stuff and another is more rock/pop 70's type. I play guitar, piano and sing and write a lot of the material. Oh, and I spent last summer in Zimbabwe and South Africa and I just got back from a month in Greece, Munich and Amsterdam.
