About Me: I'm a graduate student at the University of Connecticut. I decided to go back for my PhD after working in the private sector for a number of years. I graduated from Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and biophysics. I got my master's degree in chemistry from SUNY at Albany in 2001. Before coming to UConn to pursue my doctorate I worked at Cornell Medical College, doing research on Alzheimer's Disease. Well enough about my resume:). I enjoy reading (favorite authors: Robin Cook, James Patterson, and Patricia Cornwell) and going to the movies. My favorite sports are basketball and martial arts (Tae Kwon Do black belt). I enjoy hiking and I work out regularly.
