About Me: Wow. What do you say when your not trying to impress. I lost my wife of 28 years to cancer a couple of years ago and this whole thing is a bit spooky for me. I'm a regular guy. I'm active and still in pretty good shape. I love the outdoors and particularly the mountains: I'm an avid skier and cyclist and there is something so primal and majestic and ...big...about them. The beauty takes my breath away. Sunsets are like that too. The same can be said about beaches and the ocean or a meadow of wild flowers in the spring. I love a good conversation over a glass of wine or pint of Guinness. I ask questions and like to listen. I love life. Life is always good; it's the living it out on a daily basis that poses challenges. I'm a friendly guy who believes in opening the door for a woman, not because I don't think they can do it themselves but because I desire to honor the other person. I love to laugh. Laughter is good for the soul. Life is WAY too short to be grumpy. And why is everybody always in such a hurry? There is so much to see if you just take the time to look. I believe there is a universal law: what goes around comes around so I'm careful about what I put out there. Mercy is not weakness, Kindness goes a long way, Nice guys don't finish last and being a "man Scout" is not such a bad thing, particularly when you have to light a fire! I also play the acoustic guitar and sing; ballads and love songs mostly. Did the Coffee House thing years ago. I'm not looking for a full time gig. Just not quite ready for that yet. Having said that, I travel a lot for my business and don't like to spend the evenings alone. So if dinner and conversation work for you I'd love your company. After dinner, well... we'll see but I know my way around a woman's anatomy; a slow hand is better and the tongue has more than one use!
