About Me: I received my Ph.D. in Biophysics and had a successful career working in various technical fields spanning everything from cancer detection to astronomy. Due to some good luck and effort, I am now privileged to spend my time involved in doing what seems most important to me: helping others, continuing to learn about the world, nature and myself, lecturing, traveling, and just enjoying life. I am dedicated to good health and nutrition and try to stay in shape. My two favorite outdoor activities are hiking and sailing. I enjoy all kinds of music whether it be Classical, Jazz, Rock, or Opera. I like to travel, especially to places off the beaten path, in particular when it is combined with hiking (hiked across England, thru Nepal and backpacked thru Bavaria with my son). Like most I also enjoy cozy inns or just a quiet evening by the fire with a glass of wine, a funky old movie, and someone special to be with. I am looking for someone who has a good self- image and a sense of whimsy and adventure. Hopefully there would be both strong chemistry and a sharing of interests and values
