About Me: I Was Born Bohemian (really, my great grandfather came here after the Civil War from Bohemia near Prague) There are 50 States in our Union, I've seen 49 of them and lived in 10 of them. Some how I've managed to miss Florida but we have better orange juice in California as well as the original Magic Kingdom. I've traveled to a number of other countries as well. The Navy taught me electronics, computers, programing and troubleshooting skills. Art Center taught me photography, advertising design and aesthetics. I've had my own photography business; been a corporate photographer and art director; owned a couple of galleries and a lab; taught, lectured and given workshops on photography; been a designer and I've also been a system administrator (life takes it strange little twists and turns - or as another Jerry has said "What a long... strange trip it's been!"). My taste in all things are broad and eclectic and I'm a prolific reader across a variety of subjects, including but not limited to; history, religion, philosophy, psychology, the fine arts, architecture, design and the sciences. I've always enjoyed life; wine, women & song (or was it sex and drugs and rock & roll?) My penultimate aesthetic experience was seeing Rudolph Nureyev dance at the Shrine back in the '70's (though both Mahler and Beethoven run a good second here). My penultimate spiritual experience has been having the "Comforter" dwelling within for hours, even days on end (He promised us He'd send Him and He has). Along the way I've picked up my private pilots license, studied martial arts for a decade, joined a monastery for a couple of years and learned Prana, Tantra, Kundalini & other yogas. I've also drawn, painted, worked in stained glass and dabbled with writing a bit over the years. I tend to be a closet romantic (so out of favor these days) and still a bit shy, but I've learned to compensate a lot.
