I guess I would be closer to the nerd side than the athlete side of the scale, if such a thing exists. I grew up quite sheltered from the ways of the world, and didn't even know how extensively sheltered I was until I joined the Army. However, I didn't get much female interaction due to my being in an all male unit. I tend to be a bit unsocial, and I want to change that.
