About Me: Eclectic...that is probably the one word that describes me best. For example, I love sports and eagerly anticipate the start of the college football season (Gig'em Aggies). However, I enjoy attending plays and musicals. Also, I enjoy travel and have visited much of the South and the West. But I also relish just staying home and watching TV. I am a country man and am deeply appreciative of the values my family instilled in me, especially respect for others. Yes, the Golden Rule is still a maxim by which I try to live my life. But I have enjoyed living in the city and experiencing what it has to offer. I come across as a simple person, but the adage "Still waters run deep" is an adage that describes me very well. I am a deep thinker, without being terribly philosophical, and I am incredibly observant of others. Although friends advised me not to use this term to describe myself, I will anyway: I am an introvert. I used to think this was a bad thing until one of my professors explained that being an introvert says more about how and where I recharge emotionally rather than a statement of my personality. I can be outgoing, engaging, sparkling, but I have to have a certain amout of alone time in order to stay balanced. By the way, for those of you who are familiar with the Myers-Brigg personality inventory I am an INFP. Ok...I think this gives you a snapshot of who I am. It will be interesting to see what happens.
