About Me: Ibicycling. I’m politically left of center—I could not abide our pre-Obama national leadership--hooray York-area woman who can laugh at the world, herself, and I must add that in May 2007, I suffered a stroke that damaged the area of my brain that governs left-side functions, as a result neither my left leg, nor left arm and hand, nor my left vocal chord functions entirely normally. With therapy, things have improved considerably, but there is still a long way to go! cannot walk or without assistance—I spend most of the day in an electrically powered wheel chair, and I cannot tie my own shoes(so I wear shoes with Velcro fasteners), Sadly, for some time at least, walking trips in the Alps, Rockies, etc. must remain a pleasure of the past. The other parts of my brain and body function as well or as badly as ever, though my memory, formerly one of the wonders of the world Is now just ordinary. My typing (which never was good) has also deteriorated
